EUROPE
England Much of the countryside is relatively flat, consisting of fertile plains and gentle hills. Mountains, moors and steeper hills are found mainly in the north and the west; the Lake District (Cumbria) and the northwest are divided from the Yorkshire Dales, and the northeast, by the (relatively) high-rising Pennines, ‘the backbone of England’. The eastern part of the country, particularly East Anglia, is the most low-lying. Italy Italy
is situated in Europe and attached in the north to the European mainland.
To the north the Alps separate Italy from France, Switzerland, Austria and
Slovenia. Rome :There's no escaping it, Rome means history. There's layers of the stuff - Etruscan tombs, Republican meeting rooms, Imperial temples, early Christian churches, medieval bell towers, Renaissance palaces and baroque basilicas. It's hard to say what you'll find most breathtaking about the eternal city..
France France, the largest country in Europe, is bounded to the north by the English Channel (La Manche), the northeast by Belgium and Luxembourg, the east by Germany, Switzerland and Italy, the south by the Mediterranean (with Monaco as a coastal enclave between Nice and the Italian frontier), the southwest by Spain and Andorra, and the west by the Atlantic Ocean. The island of Corsica, southeast of Nice, is made up of two départements. The country offers a spectacular variety of scenery, from the mountain ranges of the Alps and Pyrenees to the attractive river valleys of the Loire, Rhône and Dordogne and the flatter countryside in Normandy and on the Atlantic coast. Paris : It is capital of France, Cities with so many intact historic sites are rare. Monuments, museums, squares and gardens, in all their beauty, remind us of the extent to which Paris is and always has been in demand. Lovers flock from all over the world for Paris' legendary romance. Spain Spain and Portugal together make up the Iberian Peninsula, the westernmost of the three major peninsulas of southern Europe. It forms an enormous octagonal promontory at the extreme S.W. of the Continent. It is situated in a temperate zone, lying between 43 47' 24'' N. (Estaca de Bares), and 36 00' 03'' S. (Punta de Tarifa), latitude and between 7 00' 29'' E.(Cabo de Creus), and 5 36' 40' W. (Cabo de Tourinan), longitude. Spain occupies four fifths of the 580,825 square kilometers that make up the total area of the Peninsula. It borders to the north on the Bay of Biscay, France and Andorra, to the east, on the Mediterranean Sea, to the south, on the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, and to the west, on the Atlantic and Portugal. Madrid : The Spanish capital is a vibrant, atmospheric city, short on famous monuments but rich in cultural sights. Pride of place belongs to the city’s three superb art museums. The Prado has one of the most remarkable art collections in the world, with works by major Spanish and European masters from the Renaissance onwards.
Austria The natural and cultural beauty and variety make Austria a small - in a geographical sense - jewel in the heart of Europe. Traditional symbols have remained alive and continue to define Austria in the minds of visitors today. Egypt Egypt is probably the world's oldest civilization having emerged from the Nile Valley around 3,100 years ago, historically. Egypt is probably one of the oldest vacation spots. Early Greeks, Romans and others went there just for fun, and to see the wonders of some of mankind's earliest triumphs. But Egypt is much more than Pyramids and monuments. It is also Red Sea scuba diving, hot night spots, luxury hotels and five star restaurants. It is romantic cruises down the Nile on festive river boats, a night at the grand opera and it is a cultural experience like none you have ever experienced. Egypt is a land bustling with life, sound, visual beauty and excitement. Cairo : is the glorious capital of Egypt, the cradle of civilization and the beacon of religion. South Africa South Africa occupies the southern tip of Africa, its long coastline stretching more than 2 500km from the desert border with Namibia on the Atlantic coast southwards around the tip of Africa and then north to the border with subtropical Mozambique on the Indian Ocean. Pretoria : Pretoria is the administration capital of South Africa and is located in the northern part of the province, Gauteng. It is estimated that Pretoria has the lowest crime figures in South Africa. ASIA
Nepal Located in the lap of Himalayas, the tiny kingdom of Nepal boasts of a matchless cultural heritage, pristine natural beauty and a variety of other tourist attractions. The country also offers great opportunities for adventure sports including trekking in Nepal, river rafting and many others. Kathmandu : The capital of Nepal, is named after Kasthamandap, an imposing pagoda near Hanuman Dhoka Palace. The Kathmandu city was built in its present form by Gunakama Dev in 723 A.D. The Kathmandu Valley has an exotic setting. It is surrounded by tier upon tier of green mountain walls above which tower mighty snowcapped peaks.
Malayasia Malaysia is a tropical country situated 7 degrees north of the Equator in the heart of Southeast Asia. It is divided into West Malaysia and East Malaysia. Malaysia is comprised of the Malay Peninsula and the eastern states of Sabah and Sarawak across the South China Sea on the island of Borneo. Kuala Lumpur : The capital and the largest city, Kuala Lumpur, is on the Peninsula.
Thailand Malaysia is situated in the central part of South-east Asia region. Malaysia lies between the Longitudes 100 degrees and 120 degrees East and Latitudes formed by the Equator and 7 degrees North. To the north of Malaysia is Thailand, to the South is Singapore and Indonesia and to the east are the Philippines Islands. Bangkok : Bangkok is the capital of Thailand, home to some 10 million and the center of government and businesses.
Singapore Singapore is an island of 646 sq. km, about the size of Chicago. It is located at one of the crossroads of the world. Singapore's strategic position has helped it grow into a major center for trade, communications, and tourism. Its geographical location is 96km north of the equator, between longitude 103 degrees 36' East and 104 degrees 25' East.
Dubai The second largest of the seven Emirates, is a desert city-state on the shores of the beautiful Arabian Gulf, replete with clean, sandy beaches and clear, blue-green waters. It has an ancient heritage that survives amidst the skyscrapers and highways of a modern, cosmopolitan city of almost 700,000 people. This 'Pearl of the Arabian Gulf', concentrated mainly on its exquisite creek, the finest natural shelter in 1600km (1000 miles) of coastline, ranks as the UAE's most important port and commercial center. Australia Australia is a vast, relatively dry land mass covered with an endless variety of features. Even the drier inland areas sport a seemingly endless variety of "desert" types. Spectacular green countryside is ringed by mountains nearly 600m (2000ft) above sea level. Lake Burley-Griffin, an artificial lake, is the main feature of this constantly expanding modern capital. Hills, trees and greenery remain prominent among the architecture of a city that is attractive, tidy, spacious and efficient as befits the national capital city.
